Reel specs discrepancies - MichaelAngelo - 10-08-2013 09:33 PM Apparently, this is an issue: http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=51542 http://www.stripersonline.com/t/814397/daiwa-ballistic-spinning-reel-sealed/15 Anyone ever encounter this? I know my new Procyon doesn't match up to what it says on the box. I feel a bit cheated. RE: Reel specs discrepancies - MuskieBait - 10-08-2013 10:13 PM Well, when my Procyon 4000SH is listed as 11.6oz on Daiwa's website (and everywhere else!) but on the box it says 14.4oz...and it FEELS like 14.4oz...that is a big issue... So much so that I want to return that reel (even at the expense of already paying $34 in custom fees!)...for that weight, I could have gotten other better all metal reels...instead of a half metal reel...and the quality isn't all that up to as advertised... RE: Reel specs discrepancies - OldTimer - 10-09-2013 03:23 PM I've read complaints recently on other sites concerning other manufacturer's reels and tackle - where the packaging says "Made in USA" and the actual item's stickers say "Made in China". Buyer beware. |
