I haven't had this problem for long-term storage... just short-term over the course of a few weeks if I forget to air out my tackle trays. Now that I'm using brand-name lures most of the time, I haven't had this problem as much as when I used cheap ebay lures.

One thing I tried last year was to poke holes in the plastic of the tackle trays. This made sure everything dried out even if I forgot to open the trays to dry.

When you're done with a lure, do you put it right back into the tackle box? I noticed this humidifies my whole tackle box and rusts my hooks.

What do you do to avoid this? Should I poke some holes in my trays?

Big GrinI have trays like this, but from dollarama lol

Hi Michael the trick I found is to spray the hooks with wd40 will keep them from rusting no need to dry works wonders , evaporates quickly ,,,
