Frenchmans bay Ice tournament. - Jeremy Ray Green - 10-10-2012 07:51 PM

hey guys,

Last year I setup an ice tournament on frenchmans bay.

We had a few people out to the event, I was really worried about the ice last year so I held off on advertising it properly...

This season the ice tournament will be held on family fishing weekend,

Saturday February 16th 2013.

I have a website setup for the event you can follow the link here.

http://supportinglakeontario.webs.com/

If you have and questions or suggestions or want to help with the event please feel free to contact me..

I would definitely like to help out with this.

It sounds good. Did you get any feedback in terms of ticket prices? If I wanted to bring 3 kids I surely wouldn't want to spend $75 for the day. I've never participated in a tournament so I'm not sure how they are normally priced.

I was down for a charity event last winter but it was called off due to the poor ice conditions.

this tournament is geared toward bringing out the family.

and youth of 13 yrs of age or under can fish for free on a adult ticket,
where an adult can have two youths fishing on their Team/ticket.

any youths from the age of 14-17 get a 50% discount off the adult ticket, cannot have youth 13 or under fishing on their ticket #, and MUST have a guardian to sign their ticket before they can participate,
any winnings will be awarded to their guardian 18 yrs of age or older.
Any member of the public can come out, with or without family or young ones.

Dont think that this sets one ticket above the other, as sometimes the kids dont care to fish or they want to leave early. ??
Most kids though, Will likely out fish some of the elder anglers on the ice that day. its all for a good fishing experience with the community...

10 dollars from every ticket sale will go toward an environmental charity in our community.

the rest of the ticket sales will be paid out 100% in cash prizes...

Dont forget, 1st place wins a Salmon fishing charter on lake ontario, for the 2013 season...
