Why no musky population in Lake Erie?

Just wondering...came across it when I was looking for examples of musky fishery in Lake Erie for you. You can email Sea Grant and ask qualified biologists that research the Great Lakes.

While I'm reading...muskies are definitely found on the western end of the lake (Sandusky to Detroit River) and eastern end of the lake (Buffalo Harbour and Upper Niagara) and both are fairly good fisheries.
