Going forward in 2017 at OSF - 1
Hey,
After a significant amount of pondering and review I have come to the conclusion that the annual OSF Multi Species Challenge sees few participants due to the fact that puny runts of fish are considered an entry. Sorry………………... This needed to be said, and discussed. I agree that the wee fishes are quite interesting and colourful. But often they require special techniques and equipment many members lack - or will never own - or could really care less about in every aspect. I am confident that I may not be alone in these considerations – as the underwhelming lack of participation has profoundly confirmed such. Just possibly we might see more participation if the entries had a minimum size limit of say 8” (or even larger). This would allow most “rough” and “non-game” species to be an allowed entry………….. And at the same it just might promote more OSF membership participation in the challenge……….AND reports and discussion………….and……………..and………… I think we may need a change here…………….now…………… How bout you? Cheers, OldTimer <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |
