RE: New Found Hobby
Hey Bill,
Great intro. Well done and amusing. Kawagama does have some great smallmouths. Try the river exiting it too. You need a boat for Rice Lake. Yep......... the match the hatch thing............ sorta Check out some of the article here re carp fishing and chumming. Like us - many fish eat with their eyes. Presentation is very important.............. otherwise we'd all be eating gruel, slop, and mystery meat smoothies. Look around - many answers to your queries can be found in the articles and posts. All in All....and overall........ mid day is significantly lower on my catch % profile across the species I seek. But I've caught some at high noon too.......... Yes - worms are fairly universal.......... and many lures are designed to catch fisherpeople......... however "good" lures used properly will produce more larger "sports fish". Single piece rods really are an immense pain in the butt. There are many excellent 2 piece rods on the market. Can be frustrating....... but the "getting out" and occasional victory make it beyond perfect. Anyway.......... welcome! Cheers, OldTimer <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |
