Stop fishing for salmon (they're just salmon...and you said yesterday you vowed not to target them this fall)...and write your California report! Write it before you start to forget all the details. I find that if I don't write the report a week or two after my trip, I'll forget a lot of the little tidbits of the trip...things like timing (when you fished and for how long), sometimes the different things you're tried (what failed and what was successful), sequence in what you caught and how many...etc. It's all the details and logging them that helps to make you a great angler.
