Getting in trouble out on the ice can get real serious real quick whether you're ice fishing or snowmobiling.
I had several friends die not being "smart" - they ran their sleds into open water at night on a "supposed" frozen lake lake in Muskoka. If you're a rookie - earn your stripes, and learn the ropes under the mentoring of an experienced person or guide/service. Trial and error is not advisable in situations involving possible hypothermia and drowning. <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |
