Great read, and I particularly enjoyed the play-by-play on the tarpon. Had I not peaked at the pictures beforehand, thus knowing the outcome, I could have brought some popcorn. LOL

Awesome schoolmaster and redfin needlefish. That Puddingwife's colouration got a gasp out of me .

I wonder what would have happened if you brought a sabiki rig with you while snorkeling LOL

The '3" Gulp Ghost shrimp'... were those your brand or the actual Gulp Ghost shrimp

I liked that part about the Mantis Shrimp... since I used to have one as a pet. Some fascinating and intelligent critters they are.

I have many questions.

Did you try throwing any lures out for the snappers/barracuda? Could that have been a solution to the bait thieves?

What would the cost have been to go out with one of the fisherman and fish from their boat? I guess most of the fishing is by net there?

Snappers were busting you off on the reef bottom? What was the mainline they were breaking through?
