Each spring for the last 7 or 8 years we've had a peregrine falcon hunting our neighbourhood for a week or so each year.

Not sure if it's related to the ones that have been nesting in downtown Hamilton on the skyscraper...

But it sure sets off the local bird alarms when its about...........

Good thing is........... I dont have mourning doves crapping on my roof no more........... I just find a scattering of feathers on my lawn now and then........

I've yet to sight a peregrine, but it's on my newbie birding list for sure. Along with a scarlet tanager.

When I retire I want to take up falconry. I looked into it and it seems like a huge time investment.
