you can try in lakefield....in town there is a bridge right by the lock.....i've never fished there before but it looks like it could be a decent spot from shore....

I don't know the area that well but I fished the river running through town last time I was their; there were bass, likley some pike as well.... There are picnic areas periodically and boat launches. ...

From over 15 years of personal experience, most of the fish caught with roe bags, beads and flies are flossed/lined. Only on the odd occasion do I see a salmon chase down a roe bag or hit a fly aggres...

Those are Salmon. Don't use braid as the fish will see it. Use fluorocarbon line. To target them try beads, roe, and flies (wooly buggers work great).

Welcome to the forum...I fish Milne & Toogood Pond for bass...but as bass is closing soon. I usually go south for pike or East for steelhead or just hang around markham/scarborough for some steelh...
