A couple of years ago, they had a big sale of Shimano rods...the rods were anywhere from 40-60% off...all Okuma gear (rods and reels) were 40% off...plus a lot of really nice reels were on sale...THAT was a good sale!!!
My buddy got an 9' Okuma Celilo float rod with a Daiwa Exceler reel for just over $100...and I got a 7' Clarus spinning rod for $40. This year is kinda meh...all the fishing gear looks so-so...a lot of lower end gear on sale but nothing really nice are on sale. Malama o ke kai Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear. I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger.
