Memories of this summer
Days are starting to get chilly. Sorting through some laundry this evening, I decided to pack away my shorts... always a sad decision for me . R.I.P. summer time .
I hope everyone had a good one! Here's an invitation to share your favorite summer memories. For me, it was the cottaging and the camping as always. Notably, my epic never-to-be-forgotten foray into summer lake trout fishing. 2 days. 16 hours in a canoe on my lonesome. 0 Lake trout. 1 big ol' bass Alone in the canoe, in the middle of the night in the middle of the lake with a full moon overhead. Hearing my belligerent friends play drinking games from across the lake, bothering pretty much every other cottage for a 1km radius. I will cherish that for years to come. How about some of your memories from this summer? |

RE: Memories of this summer
Which ones?
Trip to London? Day trip for Grass Pickerel? Long weekend to Virginia and Maryland? Weekend trip for muskie hunt? 19-day California fishing extravaganza? Don't dwell too long in the memories of the past, but look forward to memories yet to be made. Many species are waiting for us to catch this fall, winter and next year Malama o ke kai Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear. I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger. Life List: 577 species and counting (2016: 91 new species) http://muskiebaitadventures.blogspot.ca/...-list.html |

RE: Memories of this summer
Now that you list all of that, I remember that I did go to Cali this summer ... I wasn't thinking about it when I made the post.
It's strange... what sticks out in one's mind after a while isn't always what one would expect. Just the sheer tranquility of being alone in canoe all day, for two days... that's what sticks out the most after all of that (counting local things). Cali... oh boy... where do I being WOW |
