RE: camera camera camera...
I've gone through a few cameras myself (I usually drop them or crush them).
I still have a Canon Powershot A590 - but it's battery compartment cover is just about to snap off, and the auto focus has gone sorta off....... not really great for the river - no impact resistance either. I only use it around the house now. My lovely lady gave me an Olympus TG320 - it's droppable from my height, and is waterproof to boot - it serves my purposes but may not have the "stunning close ups" thing covered. I'm happy so far. I have dropped it several times, and I have dropped it once in the river.......... its still going. Battery life is good too. I have heard good things about their latest the TG-2, it is more expensive (about $350) but may suit your needs, goes deeper , and can take even more abuse. Might be worth lookin' at? Cheers, OldTimer <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |
