So would a 5 gallon bucket pulled behind a boat at 8kts.

Thus leads to the question...

Would a 5lb dead open umbrella fight harder than a 5lb bucket pulled behind the boat at 8kts?

Pound for pound I don't think carp can win. The bass/sunfish/crappie sure scrap like crazy for their size. I've heard that small salmon like coho and chinooks are able to put up more of a fight than a similar-sized lake trout. So perhaps they're high up on the list as well. I've been trying to catch them in order to find out but so far am looking at three skunks lol.
Small shaker coho (2-3 lbs) on light test lines in the spring used to be a lot of fun - and definitely beat small lakers for fight.............small coho's can jump and run well - if the rigs/drags are light enough
