And so you did! Not sure why my eyes skipped over all your reports. It's a strange thing.

I also have to apologize that I failed to include BadCurry in the total report count as well. Maybe the BadCurry chased me off...

I would rather drive a couple of hours for a chance at a new species to add to my list than drive a couple of minutes to Lake Simcoe for the same bass, sunfish and perch over and over, unless of course I'm looking for a meal.

I am exactly the same. I said that to Michael all the time. I get bored catching the same thing over and over again. Sometimes, it just doesn't get challenging anymore...especially fishing the same nearby locations over and over again.

OK OK OK.......... dig this:

This is a proposed summary that I offer.......... & would try to keep updated once a month this year re the challenge. To pump it up.

[attachment=1336]

As discussed we have the "GRAND" prize leader displayed at the top - which is that member with the largest sum of different species including micro(s)........... as before & always.

Added in is "best of" (as judged by ME) status of particular fish species that are "specifically" mentioned in the Ontario MNR current fishing regulations as fish that are "regulated" in some fashion and listed as "catchable" in some fashion.............. AND are not considered baitfish.

This may draw attention and support.............

Comments?

Cheers,

OldTimer

ps ........... see what I did there? ... grin.....

A couple of notes..... I am a reticent facebook user. I have a fake account for things I have no choice but to access through there. I subscribed to some of the Ontario fishing groups for fun. My thoughts:

- these guys do not ever post even general locations. No clue where most of them are at.
- There is nothing on methods and tactics
- Comments from the poster seem to be limited to "look at me, I gots fish" if any at all.
- Responses can be summarized as "Dude!"

No depth (PUN unintentional), no character, no community, no shared knowledge. Basically all the reasons I have been avoiding Facebook.

Unfortunately, there are many people who has the attention span of a 2 year old and can't be bothered to read information, give information or build relationship. They think relations are how many friends you have and how many liked your posts...
