Fish Nicknames

My list of some of the nicknames I've heard along the way:

You got any?

Cheers,

See you on the river.

RE: Fish Nicknames
Wally = Walleye
Gator = Northern Pike
Whitie = Lake Whitefish
Dogfish = Bowfin
Heard another fisherman refer to "sewer trout" several times last year, but not sure what he meant, maybe white suckers

RE: Fish Nicknames
A quick google leads me to belive that a sewer trout is a big turd. Like a reference to nuisance fish.

RE: Fish Nicknames
Pretty sure Carp are reffered to as sewer trout. Also for smallies, Bass fishermen commonly refer to them as footballs.

Edit: Would you look at that, my 1000th post Smile)
