Need help choosing a lake to fish.
Hi, I'm heading out fishing on the weekend but I'm having trouble deciding which lake I should choose.

Here are my options: Lake Simcoe, Lake Scugog, or Pigeon Lake.

I would like to go Salmon fishing but am unable to but I was wondering if there were Salmon in any of these lakes and if there are is there a chance of getting them or are they really rare.

Besides that can anyone share there experiences on Scugog or Pigeon because I know a lot about Simcoe.

Thanks,
Giuga10

No salmon at all in any of those. Why can't you go for salmon? They are not running yet, wait for more rain.
If you know Simcoe and want to try Scugog, it's ok lake depends on wether you have a boat or not. If you do then Caesarea is better to fish deep, there is a drop off 400' from shore. If shore fishing then you're limited to only a few spots; hwy 7 the causeway (lots of people on weekends), Caesarea dock (lots of ppl), those are the major spots. Even on Simcoe you need a boat, if you know of good shore pm me. Thanks and good luck.

My Dad is the one taking me and he didn't really want to go Salmon fishing so he gave me those lakes to choose from. I do have a boat and I'm more interested in big game fish (walleye, pike, musky ECT) also do any of the lakes have any non-general fish like Freshwater Drum, Gold/Moon Eye, White Bass, Sheepshead ECT I could go on forever lol.

If you know about any of this let me know,
Thanks,
Giuga10
