Fishing this long weekend? Where u going? Bait?

I spent the last two mornings (6-9am) chucking spinners off the end of the Bertie Boat Club pier in Crystal Beach. Steady smallmouth action — all over 2lbs. They are still a little sluggish but were slamming Mepps Aglias (Size 3 & 4 in bronze). Lots of fun.

Minimal boat traffic and the lake was like glass. Overcast, too. Couldn't have asked for better conditions.
