Very simple. I use my regular setup (6 or 8 lb mono), about 160-200 yards on the spool. That's more than enough unless you're on big open water.

I'll have some carp bait to share. Just canned corn, white bread, or dough works just as well.

Of course, that's just what I use. I'm sure people employ more purpose-built systems.
