RE: Spectacular Maryland and Virginia Epicness!

All this from a whimsical weekend trip! Really goes to show, yet again, the possibilities that pass everybody else by each and every day. In just a handful of hours, anybody can be out on the pier catching rays and gorgeous snakehead! LOL

Question about the camp site... why that as opposed to parking the car in a random parking lot and sleeping there?

Because it's in the States and I could be murdered Angel

No, it was just more for convenience since I planned to do some night fishing too. I would have to pay for an extra night fishing fee in addition to the regular day fee. It was also a back up plan in case it rains or storms at night and I need a place to retreat to quickly...which ended up happening so my contingency plan worked out perfectly. The nearest large mall with a Target where I can park and overnight is over 30min away...I can't imagine driving in that terrible weather dodging large branches in the dark (the road had no street lights).

It was all part of the plan Wink I take my trip planning pretty seriously. Big Grin

And you are right...there are so many opportunities everywhere. A lot of people travel and lie on the beach all day to roast their skin to a crisp...I'd much rather spend that time fishing hard. A lot of people also spend all day shopping (there's LV in Toronto...why shop at LV in Florida???) and it baffles me...I'd rather be fishing...Big Grin

Don't be fooled...this isn't some casual fishing though...I think I had about 20 hours of sleep between the 4 days...and I tried to fish basically every minute I can. If it wasn't for the heat, I'd be fishing in the dead of the afternoon too! If it wasn't for the storms at night, I had planned to fish until 3am Big Grin

Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear. I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger.
