Not related to salmon fishing.. but, I tried a couple of large ponds around Toronto today and yesterday but didn't manage a single bite. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I think catching a salmon would make up for everything ![]() I have never really tried for salmon so just to make sure I am on the same page I would like to clarify what fishing off piers means. Does it mean to (1) fish from man made or natural structure extending as far into the lake as possible and to cast towards the centre of the lake? For example, at the bluffs, fishing from one of the three spots furthest into the lake and casting towards the centre of lake Ontario? Or, does it mean to (2) fish near marina piers and cast near the docked boats? If it is definition (1), then by looking the the shoreline around Toronto, Tommy Tompson park clearly extends furthest into lake Ontario by a safe margin. Does this mean that fishing the south shore of TT park would be very likely to produce salmon? Thanks for the advise, Alex |
