Must have undergone a miraculous rejuvenation. Next time I'm down that way I'll stop in.

RE: Garden Hill Conservation Area
Hey,

Well I was down that way on the recent Aug long weekend.... so I stopped in.

Grass was maintained, however the washrooms were still locked and boarded up.

Water looked major league better than my last visit. In spite of all the hot weather we've been having this summer - there was no algae bloom seen, even in the shallows.

In the shallows I did see MANY fry size minnows:

I also saw some surface activity of larger fish feeding on insects further out.

Didn't have any gear with me - but I will on my next visit.

Perhaps it does have merit?

Cheers,

OldTimer

RE: Garden Hill Conservation Area
Went for a drive last night to check it out the Garden Hill CA. the water looked clear. was just myself and another angler so very quiet so I decided to drop the line but no action at all, I guess they didn't like what I was throwing. there was a lot of fish jumping and breaking the surface and tons of bugs and frogs jumping around. I used wacky rig, a texas rig gulp minnow 4" and 6"worm, and my old faithful a 3"Gulp alive on a 1/4oz gig head and got nothing. I fished from 7pm to 9pm it was hot and muggy. that said very nice area didn't make it to the back portion of the park but I will on my next trip. worth another shot for me at least.

Fish on folks
