It is one thing to say "Lake X" is a good place to fish... It is quite different to say "Spot A on Lake X" is THE place to fish... And it is even more different when you know "Lake X" is a good place to fish...then you explore "Lake X" on your own in more depth, outside of "Spot A" to find your own and sometimes better place to fish... That kind of information is not readily shared...especially by people who have done their own exploring...and the only way you can discover them is by doing your own footwork. It is helpful to use technology (GoogleMaps, GPS topo maps, or old fashion maps) to find potential spots...but they are just that...potential... You will not know truly how good they could be until you have actually try them on your own. The challenge with shorefishing is multi-fold. Seasonal usage of habitat and the change in the habitat throughout the year dictates how productive the location may be. Some types of fish and fishing technique is inherently limited because of those factors. At the end...nothing is more important than doing your own exploring and fishing the locations at different times of the year to figure out details on your own. Malama o ke kai Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear. I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger.
