Cheap float rods from the UK
I was googling around for "cheap float rods" and found all these suggestions and options from the UK:

http://www.gofishing.co.uk/HomePage2/fis...c-id=25217

I wonder why we don't have any of those options available to us here in AmericUH. Tongue

Like these:

http://www.dragoncarpdirect.com/products...eeder.html

I mean... those are prices I like to see!! LOL (yes I now they're in pounds)

Check out what they have in the states... 14 foot, 3 piece crappie poles:

http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Cr.../10210599/

14 foot 3 piece noodle rod for 50 bucks... sounds great but it's not available in Canada Sad.

Canada sometimes... product selection is frustrating Tongue

RE: Cheap float rods from the UK
You could get that 10ft rod from mullarkeys...shipping to my address according to them is only about CDN$13. But watch out for custom fees...that could come as a surprise sometimes.

Still, I think the rod I suggest to you is a better buy...Limited Lifetime Warranty sums it up. Don't think about the now...but plan for the future. What happens if you snap this rod? Shimano has a great warranty system and they usually just send you a new rod. It's a bit more money, but you get a great product with a great warranty.

RE: Cheap float rods from the UK
The Shimano Clarus rod is 13 ft and breaks down to 4 sections and it's got a bit of backbone with a fairly fast tip. I found one at the Crappy Tire in Barrie and got it on a price match. Some CTC stores are set up for a more complete fishing inventory, the store in Barries South end has a very large fishing dept. I trot in with a web printout from Lebaron, Sail or Flaherty's, they give me the price plus 10% of the price in CTC money. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, Eh!
Clarus CSS-130ML4B 13’0” IM8 is $103 at lebaron so I wound up paying $93
Convergence CVSL126L2B 12’6” (4-8 lb) 2 piece is $83 at lebaron I know both CTC stores in Barrie have several. It's not a bad rod for the money (IM7)
If you can get the price match the extra 9 or $10 in CTC money helps and shipping isn't required

This is awesome! Some solid deals for sure. Unfortunately, I've never seen any of these at my local CT stores... it's mostly the "$50 Canadian Tire Specials" if you know what I'm talking about lol... not too great for fishing gear Sad

RE: Cheap float rods from the UK
I was surprised that two stores in Barrie had some float rods. I had trouble finding a lower priced float rod in the 12-13 ft range and I did try Tromblay's in Orillia, Epps, Sail, Lebaron and BassPro. They had tons of 9'6" and 10'6" rods
