Proper Fish Handling prior to release
I really hadn’t read (or paid attention) much in the last decade or so, on the current ideas/research/findings regarding released fish handling…….. But a recent post on this site got me looking about a bit on the net, just for interest’s sake..
I report that I did learn more than a few new important things – on how I might dramatically increase the chances of a released fish surviving my “catch and release” techniques……… perhaps you may too……….. Dig this stuff: http://www.thefishingnut.com/articles/fishhandle.html http://www.catchphotorelease.com/cpr.htm http://www.recycledfish.org/safe-angling...elease.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODJYzp2tXws Edit add: ![]() Cheers, OldTimer <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |
