I just google mapped it, looks like a lot of good areas to fish. was noticing that most of the major towns have a lake or river going in and out of them.

Maybe a strap wrench would work. The one on my shimano rod gets stuck often. Havn't had to use any tools yet to get it apart. I would say a vice....but i don't know if your rod is hollow or not. ... |

I was looking closer at maps. Looks like the north channel might be good, it's very wide and links many times to lake huron. If this rain keeps up, it might be even better on the shore.
